Red River Western Festival
Description: Fans of the Old West can celebrate that era with a new festival to be held in Shreveport, Louisiana. The RED RIVER WESTERN FESTIVAL will be July 15,16,17,18, 2004 at the Fairgrounds in Shreveport, Louisiana which will include three days of rodeo. This will be a first in this part of the Ark-La-Tex and it’s already the Nation’s Largest Western Festival Event which will celebrate the “heritage and Spirit of the Old West” and also pay Special Tribute to “101 Years of Western Film”. It will offer more than the typical Western Festival in that it not only has Film & TV stars, but some of Hollywood’s Best Western Stuntmen as well. More than 80,000+ are expected to attend from across the United States and abroad. It will feature the following; Film & TV Stars, Western Music, Cowboy Poetry, Western & Film Merchants, Chuck Wagon Cook Off, Stagecoach Rides, Trail Rides, Parade, Dance and Costume contest, Film showcase and panel discussions, Barn Dance, Historic Re-Enactments .
